Workshops organised with Arrabal-AID presented the project’s progress, training resources and practical tools to young learners, jobseekers, future entrepreneurs and education stakeholders. Málaga, Spain, 3 August 2026 – Internet Web Solutions (IWS) has successfully organised a series of local workshops and multiplier activities in Málaga at different milestones of the European START CUP ACADEMY project. Delivered in collaboration with Arrabal-AID, an associated partner of the project, the events involved a total of 50 participants and helped bring the project’s progress and results directly to local learners, future entrepreneurs, VET professionals and other relevant stakeholders. The activities were designed to raise awareness of START CUP ACADEMY while gathering feedback from people who may directly benefit from its entrepreneurship training, digital resources and practical startup-support tools. Participants were introduced to the project’s objectives, European partnership, completed research, training programme and resources developed to support the creation and growth of student-led and early-stage startups. The first two workshops took place on 6 October 2025 and involved a combined total of 26 participants. The first session was held at Galerías Goya, Plaza de Uncibay 3, Málaga, with 12 young adults participating in Arrabal-AID’s vocational training course. The workshop introduced the START CUP ACADEMY initiative and highlighted how entrepreneurial, digital and project-management skills can strengthen participants’ employability and help them explore alternative professional pathways, including self-employment and business creation. A second workshop was held on the same day at Calle Dos Aceras 23, Málaga. It brought together 14 young adults participating in the Multipurpose Virtual Monitor training course, including one participant from Ukraine. The session focused on the role of digital tools, innovation and entrepreneurial competences in developing new professional opportunities and transforming ideas into viable projects. A further START CUP ACADEMY Multiplier Event was held on 18 May 2026 at the Arrabal-AID premises at Calle Muro de San Julián 33, Málaga. The event involved 24 young people not in employment, education or training who completing preparatory training before undertaking professional placements in Italy, Poland and Portugal. During this event, IWS presented the progress achieved by the European consortium and the practical resources developed by START CUP ACADEMY. Particular attention was given to the project’s entrepreneurship training programme, digital learning environment, case studies and tools supporting opportunity recognition, business modelling, financial literacy, access to funding, project management, digital innovation and pitching. The session also encouraged participants to consider entrepreneurship as a realistic pathway for professional development and social inclusion. Through practical discussion and exchanges with learners, trainers and stakeholders, the event demonstrated how entrepreneurial competences can help young people become more proactive, adaptable and confident when entering the labour market or developing their own initiatives. The collaboration with Arrabal-AID made it possible to reach a diverse local audience comprising young students, jobseekers, aspiring entrepreneurs, VET operators and professionals working in employment, training and social inclusion. Their participation helped connect the project’s European-level results with the real needs and experiences of learners and support organisations in Málaga.

The Erasmus+ project Start-Cup Academy has been launched with the objective of strengthening entrepreneurship education and fostering startup development within higher education institutions across Europe.   The project brings together a diverse consortium of universities, innovation organizations, and business support institutions to co-create innovative approaches that help students transform ideas into viable entrepreneurial ventures.   On 20 May 2024, representatives of all partner organisations gathered in Brussels, Belgium, for the first face-to-face Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the Start-Cup Academy project. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among partners, review project objectives and expected outcomes, discuss planned activities and deliverables, and coordinate the implementation of the different Work Packages (WPs). This important milestone established a strong foundation for the successful implementation of the project and future cooperation among consortium members.   Start-Cup Academy aims to enhance entrepreneurial mindsets, equip students with practical startup skills, and provide opportunities to develop business models, validate ideas, and participate in startup-related initiatives and competitions.   Throughout the project, partners will develop a common methodology, innovative training materials, digital learning resources, and pilot activities designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs and strengthen startup ecosystems.   By promoting collaboration between academia, industry, and innovation stakeholders, Start-Cup Academy contributes to building a more entrepreneurial and innovation-driven future for Europe.

Within Work Package 3 (WP3) - Start-Cup Academy Curriculum, Training Content and Tools, the Erasmus+ project Start-Cup Academy has developed a comprehensive training programme designed to strengthen entrepreneurial competences and startup-related skills among students and aspiring entrepreneurs.   The programme responds to the growing need for practical, student-centred entrepreneurship education that helps learners move from ideas to viable business models, understand funding opportunities, manage innovation processes, and communicate their value effectively.   The training programme consists of eight courses grouped into four thematic areas:   Entrepreneurship & Start-ups Opportunity Recognition and Business Modelling Sustainable and Ethical Entrepreneurship   Finance and Funding Financial Literacy for Entrepreneurs Accessing Funding and Investment Readiness   Project Management Agile Project Management for Start-ups Digital Tools for Managing Innovation and Growth   Public Speaking and Presentation Skills Pitching and Persuasive Storytelling Public Speaking and Emotional Intelligence in Leadership   The training materials combine theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, case studies, self-assessment tools, and real-world examples. The Erasmus+ project Start-Cup Academy has successfully completed Work Package 2 (WP2) - Start Cup Model and Mechanism, a major milestone that laid the foundation for the development of the project’s innovative entrepreneurship training framework.   The purpose of WP2 was to better understand how higher education institutions, incubators, startup ecosystems, and support organisations across Europe currently foster entrepreneurship and support aspiring startup founders. To achieve this, project partners collaborated to develop a common research methodology and conduct comprehensive national and European-level analyses.   Through this work, the consortium examined: Existing startup support mechanisms; Entrepreneurship education practices; Skills gaps and training needs of future startup founders; Collaboration models between universities, businesses, incubators, and innovation stakeholders; Best practices that can be transferred and replicated across Europe.   As part of WP2, partners produced: 6 national country analyses; 1 European-level analysis; 6 national literature reviews; 1 European literature review; An Executive Summary available in six project languages.   The research brought together expertise from universities, startup support organisations, business development professionals, and policy experts representing Latvia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Ukraine. This collaborative approach ensured that the resulting findings reflect diverse entrepreneurial ecosystems and educational realities across Europe.   The outcomes of WP2 have provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by aspiring entrepreneurs, identified opportunities for improving entrepreneurship education, and highlighted effective approaches for supporting startup creation and growth. The START CUP ACADEMY project successfully carried out its second piloting session on 19 May 2026 at the Youth Center of Alhaurín, in collaboration with the associated partner ARRABAL-AID. The session gathered 13 participants, including young people, job seekers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and individuals interested in strengthening their entrepreneurial and startup-related competences. The piloting activity was organized by Internet Web Solutions (IWS) as part of the project’s testing and validation phase. The session provided participants with the opportunity to explore the START CUP ACADEMY training contents and digital tools while offering direct feedback on usability, relevance, and applicability. The experience proved to be extremely fruitful and inspiring. Participants actively engaged with the materials and discussions, contributing valuable insights that will support the final refinement of the project’s training resources and digital warehouse. In addition, the event allowed the consortium to expand the START CUP network by connecting with new potential stakeholders, collaborators, and future beneficiaries interested in entrepreneurship support and startup ecosystems.   Internet Web Solutions (IWS), in collaboration with its associated partner Arrabal AID, successfully conducted the first pilot session of the START CUP – Digital Tools for Innovation and Startup Growth module on March 17, 2026. The session took place at Arrabal AID’s premises in Málaga and brought together 27 young aspiring entrepreneurs and job seekers eager to strengthen their digital and entrepreneurial skills. The pilot session is part of the broader START CUP project, an innovative European initiative aimed at equipping young people with the practical knowledge, tools, and mindset needed to launch and grow startups in today’s digital economy. The program focuses on fostering entrepreneurial competencies, digital transformation skills, and innovation-driven thinking. During the session, participants explored key digital tools and strategies designed to support startup development, including the use of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital marketing techniques, and innovation frameworks. The training emphasized practical application, enabling attendees to better understand how digital solutions can enhance creativity, employability, and business opportunities. Highly Positive Participant Feedback The session received very positive feedback from participants, highlighting both the quality of the content and the engaging delivery.
